Take note how I look nothing like the picture - at home, no make up, no fancy lighting, no styling. I kind of just want to reiterate that NO ONE looks like that in real life. These girls you see in ads and magazines, they have a whole team there to make them look like the photos you see, they don’t look like that in real life. The MODELS DON’T LOOK LIKE THAT. We are selling you a product and an image. And we want you to believe if you buy that product, you will be more like that image or lifestyle they are making up and trying to sell to you. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. I love playing dress up. I love that my role has a creative aspect. But sometimes I have these young girls that tell me I’m their “thinspiration” or that they want to look like me when they grow up. And that’s really scary because I don’t even look like me.
Goobing and in need of a hair cut. I should probably spend my Friday nights socializing but fuck that. Selfies and Tumblr.
I take that back. I’ll go to someone’s house…. and look at Tumblr there.
